Recipes for Disaster... Relief and Development is a cookbook that we published in June 2006 to raise at least £25,000 for Tearfund, a Christian relief and development charity based in Teddington, UK (click on the Tearfund logo for more information).
From this website you can purchase a copy of the book,
download free recipes or buy an I'm a Recipe for Disaster apron.
Buying just one book via the Recipes for Disaster... Relief and Development fund-raising project gives Tearfund the money to buy 100 school dinners in a place like Haiti. Three copies will provide funds to buy a school desk and chair for children in Peru; and four copies can provide enough seed to feed a family for a year in Ethiopia.
All proceeds from this website are donated to Tearfund.
The production costs of the book were covered by September 2006 and within three years we have sold over 4,100 copies and donated more than £24,000 to Tearfund ... only another £1,000 to go!

The book includes 42 delicious recipes from 25 countries. We tell you about each country, where the recipe came from, and show how Tearfund is working through local Christian partners to bring hope to some of the world's poorest communities.
